An exciting 3 day course for children aged 12-15 to qualify as a Knowsley Safari Junior Ranger.

Over the 3 day period the children will have the opportunity to experience “life” as an animal keeper, conservationist and zoologist.

There will be amazing behind the scenes experiences including:

Assisting our elephant keepers muck out the elephant house and meeting our herd face to face (or face to trunk)
A chance to feed our giraffes
A behind the scenes tour of the rhino house

Other activities will include:

Learning how to handle and health check a range of small mammals, reptiles and invertebrates
Carrying out behavioural studies on our meerkats
Chatting to our sea lion trainers about their jobs

This is a FANTASTIC opportunity for animal lovers and budding zoologists! All children will receive a certificate at the end to celebrate their graduation as a Junior Ranger

Knowsley Safari Park

The opportunity has arisen for supporters of the Stroke Association to tackle the unique challenge of abseiling the Liverpool Cathedral.

This 150ft free fall abseil will take you over the main entrance of the Cathedral, with stunning views of Liverpool to keep your mind off things as you make your descent! No previous experience is necessary, this challenge is open to anybody aged 18 and over in a good state of medical and fitness health.
