PowerboatGP Presents – The 2012 UIM F2 World Powerboat Championship
Book early to avoid disappointment & join us for 2 days of action packed on-water entertainment on the 15th & 16th September for the final round of the UIM F2 World Powerboat Championships at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham !
The action starts from 10am each day with gates opening from 8am !
Tickets can be purchased online at nottscountydirect.co.uk – select the event ticket section or alternatively tickets will be available to purchase at the gates on the day.
About the UIM F2 World Powerboat Championship :
Entertaining, thrilling and exciting are just some of the words you could use to describe the UIM World class sport of F2 Powerboat Racing.
With speeds potentially reaching in excess of 200km/h this action packed, water based form of racing is fast becoming one of the most senior, professional forms of motorsport racing.
One of the reasons for this classes’ success is the fact that it is a ‘stock engine class’, and any tuning or modification to the original engine is strictly forbidden. This keeps the financial running costs to a minimum for teams and ensures that success will come to the most talented and knowledgeable drivers.
An average of 24 drivers representing different countries are expected to attend and compete at the event in Nottingham, with Britain fielding a strong fleet of home grown competitors as the competition happens on home waters.
2012 will be the first time in over a decade a round of the F2 World Championship has been held here in Britain despite four of the recent World Championship titles being secured by British racers and a strong and ever increasing fleet in the RYA British Championship.
In addition to the main event we also have the GT15 & GT30 British Masters Championship which will see our young guns battling for glory in front of home crowds !
