Newport Christmas Lights Switch-On 12noon to 6.00pm
The city streets will be buzzing with festive activity for the whole family. The day boasts live stage, festive stalls, street entertainment, Santa, children’s activities, even donkeys!
The lights will be switched on at 5.00pm by the mayor of Newport, Councillor Glyn Jarvis and the winner of ‘Searching for Christmas Stars’ competition; then enjoy a firework and Big Mac’s Wholly Soul band finale!
