Da Doo Ron Ron – “the legendary femme pop and soul extravaganza.” NME – celebrate our thirteenth(!) Birthday with another of those infamously fun-filled femme-tastic shindigs upstairs at the splendid surrounds of the Komedia.

This time Da Doo residents Chris ‘Stone To The Bone’ King and Jon ‘Born Bad’ Slade are joined by an ace brace of superstars guest spinners; Simon Bridger, celebrated Northern Soul DJ – & former Da Doo resident – and David Walker of legendary Brighton club nite Thursday Night Fish Fry! Making it the most dangerous combination since nitro and glycerine!

Established way back in October 1998, Da Doo Ron Ron is a fabalicious mix of femme pop, sisterly soul ‘n’ funk, girlgroup dramarama & chicks with licks from the 50s and Swingin’ 60s.

Expect 50s diva dolls, Hip shakin’ Mamas, Smitten kittens, Jukejoint jezebels, Real gone girls gone rockin’, Rhythm ‘n’ blues babes, Popcorn popstrels, Motown minxes, Spector’s Princesses, Swingin’ Mademoiselles, Slick chicks, Girls with guitars, Bold soul sisters, Pretty kitties from the gritty city, Rave up garage gals & Northern nightingales.
