This major exhibition showcases a range of Chinese ceramics previously unseen in the UK, from the Zibo Ceramics Museum, China. The exhibition charts the technological achievements in the production of ceramics in China, from ancient times to the present day. It shows how traditional ceramic forms and decoration have evolved and how these traditions continue in the work of China’s contemporary ceramicists, from one-off studio pieces to utilitarian table-ware. The exhibition will include regular demonstrations of ceramic decoration by Chinese ceramicists from Zibo.
