Glasslights will play the O2 Academy in Birmingham on 6th July 2009. They will be supported by Epics and Junkyard Morning.
Glasslights have been together since Summer 2008, when guitarist Brian answered Andrew’s ad in the paper. He then set about roping in his mates: Dan Kav on drums and bassman Harvey. From those very first jams, it was clear that the product of the next six months solid rehearsals would be something fresh and important.
Glasslights emerged at the start of December last year, with a neat set of barnstorming anthems and played their first gig at The Boileroom in Guildford, to a room full of people expectant from hearing the early recordings.
They’ve since been turning heads across the south of England with their fantastic live shows. With a jam-packed schedule of gigs booked up and down the UK in the coming months, be sure not to miss out.
The band is also releasing a single this summer – the massive get-you-out-of-bed song “Someone Like Me†backed up with live favourite “Julyâ€.
