Held in mid November, the Christmas light switch on is a very popular event. Run by Halesowen’s Chamber of Trade it features entertainment throughout the day from BRMB Radio station, a fairground and Santa and his Sleigh. In the past couple of years the lights have been switched on by stars from popular Australian soaps “Neighbours” and “Home and Away”. For Christmas 2009, Halesowen’s Christmas lights are switched on by the one and only…. Peppa Pig!!!!!
