An evening of late-night cultural entertainment across the city with performances, exhibitions and activities for all to enjoy.
Light Night in Birmingham will feature architectural lighting of iconic city centre buildings and iconic landmarks such as:
* The newly refurbished £35M Town Hall
* The Council House
* Museum and Art Gallery
* Selfridges building at the Bullring
* The Rotunda
* Birmingham Cathedral
* plus a few surprises!
These landmarks will be beautifully lit to create a visually stunning trail of features around Birmingham City Centre.
Music and Performance
The streets and civic squares of Birmingham City Centre came alive with hundreds of performers, musical acts and street theatre throughout the evening.
Venues all over the City Centre were open to showcase the best of musical talent in the West Midlands, Comedy, Dance and Theatre.
The City doesn’t sleep… Birmingham’s fantastic shopping area, with its big name department stores and chic independent retailers will open late, along with civic buildings such as the Central Library, Museum and Art Gallery and the Town Hall to welcome visitors all ages helping to create a seamless link between the hundreds of performers and beautifully lit buildings.
