NAE Community Open Day is a great way to find out more about New Art Exchange and its offerings. The day will see live performances
from local artists, dance, music sessions, childrens’ workshops, and some great food!
Cafe Lounge :: LIVE MUSIC :: 12-6pm
Experience the best of World Music and local bands. Acts performing include: Freddie Kofi, Afro Invasion, Aistaguca, Big Jig, Chorestor, DJ Lunches, Vince Gould (Waler), San2 Singh, Chill in the Park and many more acts TBC
Activity Zone :: INTERACT! :: 12-5pm
Capoeira Angola, Samba, Community Dancers. Also, Henna body art, face painting, Indian head massage and more!
Performance Space :: DANCE & DRAMA :: 12.30-7pm
Live dance performances and artist workshops with Afro-Brazilian dance, Manushi Dance (Indian Classical – Kathak) & YARD Youth Theatre (Drama). Also a special An(other) Story Artist Talk
Learning Room :: WORKSHOPS :: 12-5pm
Arts workshops based on South Asian patterns and Tribal Art based on Madhubani painitngs from our current exhibition.
Artists and programme line-up subject to change. Please drop in any time between 12 and 7pm to experience lots of FREE entertainment. Be sure not to miss out on this fun-packed family day out!
