Portsmouth Fireworks @ King George V playing fields - Description

Portsmouth’s biggest firework extravaganza takes to the skies on Wednesday 4 November at the King George V playing fields in Cosham.

The Portsmouth City Council organised annual colourful show kicks off at 6pm with the Wave 105 FM roadshow.

Lord Mayor, Councillor Terry Hall, will light the fire at 7pm. A half hour later, at 7:30pm the sky will become the backdrop for the twenty minute firework display.

Over £6,000 worth of fireworks will light the skies during the display, which has been organised by world-renowned firework manufacturer and display organisers, Kimbolton Fireworks of Cambridge.

The event is a safe and enjoyable way for everyone to experience the fun of firework night without the risks.

People are being urged not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers to the event.

Charity collections on behalf of the Portsmouth Round Table will be taking place during the event.
