Reading Symphony Orchestra Family Concert @ Concert Hall, Reading Town Hall - Description

Reading Symphony Orchestra present an afternoon of music for all ages at their annual Family Concert, compered by comedian Don Reid. Benjamin Britten’s Young Person’s Guide To The Orchestra puts the spotlight on each instrument in the orchestra, demonstrating the tone and characteristics of each. Glinka’s Russlan and Ludmilla overture and Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody no. 2 open the concert, and the RSO are delighted to welcome clarinettist Nicholas Shipman to Reading to perform Rossini’s Introduction, Theme and Variations. The concert will finish with music from Jurassic Park by John Williams.
