The Jigsaw Players are an exciting and dynamic group of young professional musicians bringing exceptional classical concerts to Wimbledon’s door step. The musicians for each programme are drawn from a pool of players, all of them international prize winners or members of London’s most prestigious orchestras (London Philharmonic, London Symphony & Philharmonia Orchestras). Their Patrons include Vladimir Jurowski – Principal Conductor, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Music Director, Glyndebourne Opera; Jean-Yves Thibaudet – described as “one of the best pianists in the worldâ€; Kim Kashkashian – Internationally renowned viola player.
This concert will embrace the spirit of the end of the year holidays with the church lit by candles, the sent of mulled wine and beautiful music. It will also be a partial fundraiser for the Southampton Pediatric Cardiology section whose team of surgeons saved the life of the son of two of our artists. This is a small way of thanking them.
