Frankie Sandford, Rochelle Wiseman, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Una Healy are The Saturdays and they are proud of being a pure pop girl band. Get your fix of dancing tunes in Plymouth when the girls pass through on their tour. Here’s what the girls say about their music on their website:
‘Why are people ashamed of pop?’ says Mollie. ‘Everyone’s taking themselves so seriously at the moment. We’re a proper, full-on girl band and we’re loving it.’ ‘We’re not models who can’t sing – we can all sing, we can all dance,’ adds Frankie, ‘and no one’s telling us who to be or what to do. We’re all different because we’re just ourselves, and that’s the way it should be.’
The Saturdays have had four top ten singles and a top ten album. Their current single, ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ – in aid of Comic Relief – is set to give the girls their biggest hit to date. Their debut album ‘Chasing Lights’ has now gone platinum. A new single will be released to coincide with the tour.
