Is there any other acts on alongside the Script or any other entertainment as last year there was a full festival on.
Many Thanks
There are! The Script are headlining the Mouth Of The Tyne festival at Tynemouth Priory (i.e. this event!). The other acts were, last time we checked, unconfirmed. The Script will be a massive draw for many fans, though, as they have sold out many of their UK dates this year.
Also, The Mouth of Tyne is a two day festival, over the whole weekend. We’re trying to get a copy of the confirmed acts for the music event at the Tynemouth Priory (which The Script are headlining) – as the Mouth of Tyne Festival have not released any other details to date.
The Script tickets have now SOLD OUT on Ticketmaster – you’ll need to use either Seatwave, Viagogo, or Play.com to find them (see the links at the top right to get you started). You could also try eBay.

You might want to try reading the information above – your question is remarkably similar to that which was asked and answered above.
By the way, as you work for the local government, it may be that you wish to promote the rest of the festival? You see above where it says “Add Event“? Use that form and you can tell people about them.
Do you know if we can take a picnic and drinks in with us or will it be strictly stuff you can buy on site?
Picking up my daughter from there who is only 15 – any idea what time its likely to finish
Very Good question, and one which is often not widely publicised is the event running time!
The simple answer is that it isn’t obvious, but that an event such as this generally won’t last much longer than three or four hours.
I CAN tell you categorically that we contacted the Priory and they said the concert would finish at between 10 and 10:30pm.
If you’re travelling far, it might be a good idea to go for a meal or something in Tynemouth (I know, usual parenting ‘on call’ taxi service!) and ask for a text when the encore starts – or just aim to be at the venue a little before 10pm.
Emma, I’m not sure about food and drink for this event. I’d be going for fish and chips in Tynemouth beforehand to make sure! Generally speaking, there aren’t many events where you can take alcohol in nowadays, so I’d leave the alcoholic drinks behind, but take bottled water or a soft drink along in case of queues.
My tickets say gates open at 6, what time does the concert actually start as i cant get away from home before half 6 but i only live in Seaton Sluice which is just down the road from Tynemouth so i wont take me long to get there
I can only suggest you call the venue for any other information on 0191 257 1090. I have contacted North Tyneside Council to see if they have any more details but the helpful people at Tynemouth Priory and Castle should be able to assist for now.
I spoke to North Tyneside TOurist Information – Picnics are fine although they would encourage you to buy alcohol from within the venue. When asked if I could then take alcohol in my picnic I was told ‘some people at last years concerts did bring bottles of wine to drink. So long as they are not visible upon entry to the venue then it should be fine.
Be sensible, take plastic where possible and bin your rubbish!
Hello everyone, I got this from Peter Warne, the Tourism and Events Development Manager at North Tyneside Council:
I hope that helps!
Thanks – thats great! Was thinking a bottle of nice wine as opposed to 6 bottles of white lightening! Cheers folks!
Does anyone know if it is an open air event or is it seated for the script?
don’t need to leave a question as you’ve answered mine anyway, what a great site, I can now enjoy my golf without having to panic about gettin to Tynemouth for 6pm, whoo hoo,
cheers
Gary
