Trooping the Colour @ Horse Guards - Description

1st Battalion Irish Guards will be Trooping the Colour on the 13th June 2009 to celebrate the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth II. Watch as the full extent of British military pageantry, music and ceremonial display is exercised around the parade ground at Horse Guards in London.

The Ballot for tickets for seated stands around Horse Guards Parade on 13th June has now closed.

Tickets for seated stands for the Colonel’s Review (June 6th) and The Major Generals Review (May 30th) are available from:

Individuals without tickets can watch the processions from the Mall. Events begin at approximately 10am, the parade route extending from Buckingham Palace along The Mall to Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and back again. The RAF fly-past takes place at 1pm with the Royal Family gathered on the balcony at Buckingham Palace.

The parade is also broadcast live on BBC television in the UK.
