As part of the London Literature Festival 2009, 1xtra’s Gemma Cairney presents a celebration of Laura Dockrill’s new book: Ugly Shy Girls:
Ugly Shy Girls: Laura Dockrill, Kate Nash, Peggy Sue & Brigitte Aphrodite
To celebrate the launch of Laura Dockrill’s second book, Ugly Shy Girls, Laura and events team, I think I’m Here Darling, have squashed heads together to create a very magical afternoon. Hosted by Radio 1Xtra presenter Gemma Cairney, the fabulous show features an all female line-up featuring live music and poetry from Brigitte Aphrodite, Peggy Sue, Kate Nash and Laura Dockrill.
The party continues in The Front Room post-show, with entertainment from MC Angel and Kandice and dancing, spectacular conversation and a book signing guaranteed.
