Relentless Wakestock is Europe’s largest wakeboard music festival, combining the cultures of music and the world’s fastest growing watersport in a weekend of high-octane excitement! Abersoch, Pen Y Berth, Pwllheli, Gwynedd LL53 7HG
The festival began in Abersoch, North Wales back in 2000, when it was a wakeboard contest with a party in a car park for 800 people, and from then on it has grown to become one of the coolest most revered festivals in Europe playing host to some of the industries leading bands and DJ’s, along with the biggest wakeboard competition in Europe. 2009 is the festivals 10th birthday so make sure you book tickets to come join the celebrations!
Plans for this year’s Relentless Wakestock 2009 are really hotting up as the weeks pass, in particular the latest additions to the line-up which we can exclusively announce to you as follows:
N*E*R*D the internationally renowned hip hop band fronted by Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo will be headlining the new Relentless Wakestock open air stage in 2009 with hits such as “She Wants to Move†and “Maybe,†to look forward to.
DIZZEE RASCAL the London rapper and music producer is our third open air stage headliner. He’s got a whole host of big hits including ‘Fix up look sharp’ ‘Flex’ ‘Old Skool’ and ‘Dance Wiv Me’ his number one collaboration with Calvin Harris. Of course ‘Bonkers’ will soon be added to this list!
CALVIN HARRIS will return to the Wakestock stage again this year. His album “I Created Disco†was huge in 2008 and his new single “I’m Not Alone†is never off the radio and is set for the top spot in the charts.
Welsh legends SUPER FURRY ANIMALS are the band many will be looking out for. A generation has grown up with this band who will travel to their homeland to celebrate with us.
These are just a few of the amazing acts confirmed for this year, but there are loads more new additions including JUST JACK, PIGEON DETECTIVES, NOISETTES, TINCHY STRIDER, KISSY SELL OUT, THE JOY FORMIDABLE, GOLDIE, LONDON ELEKTRICITY DJ FORMAT, EBONY BONES, plus a few more from closer to home including MARINA AND THE DIAMONDS, SIBRYDION, DIRTY GOODS and RUTH KEALY
They will join the rest of line-up, which includes dance headliner MOBY, THE ZUTONS, CHICANE, CHASE AND STATUS, PLAN B, TAKURA & RAGE, RED LIGHT COMPANY and many more.
